During a Routine Thermal Scan we came along a hot spot on a clients Switchboard. We took a closer look only to find a common problem, “Lazy Electricians”. The termination should have been Lugged so that the Termination is Nice and snug in the circuit breaker causing minimal Future Problems. But instead the Cable is Split in two and wrapped around the terminal Screw, doing this forces the cable/terminal to overheat, overload the split wires, arc and even cause fires.
